Hiking Trails

A huge variety of hiking trails weave through RMNP, the best of which reveal rushing streams, quaking aspens, and subalpine lakes backdropped by snow-capped peaks. Wildlife is often best seen from the trail.

Beautiful Lakes

The park is filled with tranquil lakes, many of which sit in bowls below the rugged mountain peaks to capture snowmelt. Some are easy to access, like Sprague and Bear Lakes, whereas others require some hiking to reach, like Dream Lake, Sky Pond, Emerald Lake, and The Loch.
