NOTE: The original content of this post has been edited after new information was released from the Center for Disease Control and other government and health organizations.
In reaction to new information released this week, I would no longer advise people to follow through with leisure trips scheduled from now until at least April 30. We must respect the data on the concept of social distancing if we are to minimize the negative impacts of the coronavirus.
April 30 seems to be the date most organizations are deferring to, but unfortunately I highly suspect leisure travel will be impacted into the early summer. These are unprecedented times for all of us, and as someone who loves to plan travel this is especially saddening. But it would be irresponsible to ignore the recommendations of medical professionals for the sake of a vacation. Too much is at stake for the vulnerable members of our country.
It would be irresponsible to ignore these recommendations for the sake of a vacation.
That said, a time will come (hopefully soon) when vacationing will be safe again. When that time comes, TripPossible will be here with unbiased advice, detailed thought, and personalized ideas for your trip.
Until then please reach out if you need advice on what to do with existing vacation plans. We're always here to help our fellow travelers!
